The protection of your personal data is important to us. This website does not use cookies, tracking or analytics tools, and it does not load any content from third parties. This policy explains which data is nevertheless processed when you visit it.

2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (“Cloudflare”). When you visit the website, Cloudflare automatically processes the technical data that your browser transmits, in particular:

• IP address
• date and time of the request
• requested page or file
• referrer URL (the page you came from)
• browser type and version, operating system

This data is required to deliver the website and to ensure its security and stability, for example to defend against attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the secure and reliable operation of the website. The data is not combined with other data sources and is not used to identify individual visitors.

Cloudflare processes this data on our behalf on the basis of a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). Data may be transferred to the USA. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, on the basis of which the European Commission has issued an adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR). 3. Cookies, tracking and fonts

This website does not set any cookies and does not use tracking, analytics or advertising tools. All fonts and images are hosted on our own server; no data is transmitted to third parties such as Google Fonts.

4. Contact by email

If you contact us by email, we process your email address and the content of your message in order to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering enquiries) or, if your enquiry relates to a contract, Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. We delete the data once it is no longer required, unless statutory retention obligations apply. Our email account is provided by Google (Gmail); the processing of your message is therefore also subject to Google’s privacy policy.

5. Links to Amazon and social media

This website contains ordinary links to Amazon and to our profiles on TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. These are not embedded plugins or widgets: no data is transmitted to these providers while you browse this website. Only when you click a link are you taken to the provider’s website, where its own privacy policy applies. The links to Amazon are not affiliate links.

When you click “Buy on Amazon”, our server determines the country you are visiting from based on your IP address, solely in order to forward you to the Amazon store for your country (e.g. amazon.de or amazon.co.uk). The country is determined by our hosting provider Cloudflare (see section 2); it is not stored by us and not used for any other purpose. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in directing you to the store where you can actually buy the book.

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
